Lemont High School students earn awards through National Spanish Examinations

More than 30 Lemont High School students have been recognized for their performances on the 2012 National Spanish Examinations, which were administered earlier this spring. Eight students scored in the 75th percentile or better on their respective exams, earning “medalist” status. Freshman Katie Atherton was Lemont’s best performer, as she earned a “Premio de Plata” (Silver Award) after finishing in the 88th percentile on the Spanish I exam. MORE »

Lemont High School honors May “Students of the Month”

Four Lemont High School students were honored with May “Student of the Month” accolades at the district’s Board of Education meeting on May 14. Included among the honorees were senior Brandon Jarboe (Guidance), junior Joey Bruno (Special Education), sophomore Morgan Micetich (Driver Education) and freshman Kevin Murphy (Health). MORE »

Yearbook distribution set for May 24 at Lemont High School

The practice of Lemont High School students having to wait to receive their yearbooks until Homecoming the following fall soon will be a thing of the past. This year, Yearbook advisor Brittany Glowa and her staff have adjusted their deadlines for putting together the annual publication, and students will be able to pick up their yearbooks on the final day of school. From 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, students can pick up their yearbooks and enjoy food and music in the school’s courtyard. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved to the field house. MORE »
