As Lemont High School students enter the homestretch of the 2012-13 school year, learning remains our top priority. However, upcoming non-academic milestone events – including Prom and Graduation – will supply students with life-long memories. Prom activities and graduation parties generate a lot of fun, but unfortunately some students make poor choices during these festivities by consuming alcoholic beverages or partaking in drug use. Graduation ceremony for Lemont High School's Class of 2013 set for May 24

Lemont High School will hold a Graduation ceremony for its Class of 2013 on Friday, May 24, at 7:30 p.m. in the school's Gymnasium. Attendance for this event is limited to those individuals who have a ticket for entry. MORE »

Lemont’s Nick Urban advances to second day of IHSA Boys’ Tennis State Finals

Prior to the 2011 season, Lemont High School had not advanced a boys’ tennis player past the first day of state finals competition. Now, the Indians have done it three straight seasons. Sophomore Nick Urban won two of three matches on the first day of competition at the 2013 IHSA Boys’ Tennis State Finals, which are being hosted by High School Districts 211 and 214. Urban will continue play in the tournament’s consolation bracket on Friday, May 24, and is guaranteed to finish among the top 32 singles players in the state. This marks the eighth straight season that Lemont has been represented in the IHSA Boys’ Tennis State Finals. MORE »

Lemont High School announces summer reading, “One Book, One School” picks

The Lemont High School English Department has chosen its required summer reading selections, as well as its “One Book, One School” choice, for the 2013-14 school year. Every Lemont High School student is required to read the “One Book, One School” selection over the summer, and prior to next fall, students will read Divergent, written by Veronica Roth. MORE »
