Parking Lot Locations
All seniors who submit an application for a parking permit and provide the necessary information are awarded parking spots.
The school's Parking Committee - which consists of students, parents/guardians, school administrators and a Lemont Police Department representative - meets annually to discuss issues related to student parking. In recent years, the committee has recommended that seniors who choose to park in the Parking Garage be given a sticker designating that location. Seniors who choose the "Parking Garage" option on the parking application (available on the right side of the page) must always park in the student section of the Parking Garage, and will receive a special sticker indicating this choice. Students who choose this option benefit by knowing there always will be a spot available to them in the Parking Garage. If the school has more applicants who choose the "Parking Garage" option than there are available spots, those stickers will be awarded on a first come, first served basis.
To increase efficiency, applications are distributed to to-be seniors at the end of their junior year. All applications and required materials must be submitted by the date designated on the application. This may be done in person by returning the information to the Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Office. Students also may mail the information to the school (c/o "Parking Application"), but must return clear copies of the required documentation.
Senior-to-be applicants who are approved for a parking permit will have their parking stickers made available to them at the end of their junior year. Only those personal vehicles with approved Lemont High School parking stickers are allowed to park in the school's lots beginning on the first day of school.
Parking is a privilege, and with that privilege comes responsibility. The school's parking regulations and expectations for personal vehicles are available on the right side of the page. Students who are interested in receiving a parking permit must read this information.
In order to apply for a parking permit, students must submit a completed application, have a valid driver's license, show proof of insurance, and pay a non-refundable $100 permit fee.
Seniors who wish to apply for a permit during the middle of their senior year should complete the application and return it in person to the PPS Office.
Parents/guardians or students who have questions about submitting an application for a parking permit should contact Assistant Principal for Staff and Student Services Dave Clark at (630) 243-3237, or via e-mail by clicking on his name.
