Homecoming Dance

As soon as school starts, Lemont High School students begin looking forward to Homecoming!

Lemont High School’s 2017 Homecoming Dance - "A Night Under the Sea" - will be held on Saturday, September 30, from 6:30-10:30 p.m. in the Gymnasium. Admission to Homecoming is limited to current Lemont High School students and their dates.

All guests who are not Lemont High School students MUST have a Date Request Form signed and completed prior to purchasing a ticket.

Date Request Form

The completed form must be returned to the school’s Police Liaison Officer, Robert Keane, and be approved prior to a ticket being purchased. Forms should be returned by Friday, September 22, and must be handed in at the time of the ticket purchase. Forms can be downloaded from the link above or picked up in the PPS Office. Students are responsible for their guests and their actions.

Homecoming tickets are $25 per person, and include water and a snack. Tickets must be purchased in the Commons during lunch periods from September 25-29. No tickets will be sold at the door!

All students and guests must have a photo ID with them at Homecoming. Absolutely no students will be admitted without a photo ID.

There will be a "shoe check" available for students since dress shoes are not allowed in the Gymnasium.

Lemont High School’s administration and faculty have established the following guidelines for school-sponsored events - including Homecoming - in an effort to provide safe, appropriate, drug-free activities:
  1. A student who appears to be under the influence will not be admitted into the school activity, and his/her parents/guardians will be notified.
  2. If a student or his/her guest is under the influence, disciplinary consequences will be applied according to the Student Code of Conduct, which is found in the Student Handbook. These consequences may include police notification.
The combination of driving and drinking or drug use is a frightening thought for all of us, especially when it involves young people. Many parents/guardians become concerned about the possibility of under-aged students consuming alcoholic beverages or partaking in drug use.

Adults who furnish alcohol to minors face criminal and civil liability. Please click the link below for more information on parental liability and child curfew.

Parental Liability and Child Curfew

Some concerned parents/guardians have asked the school what they should do when they become aware of an instance when alcohol may be served to a minor. As a public service, Lemont High School and the Lemont Police Department have established a method by which this information may be reported. Parents/guardians may reach Officer Robert Keane by e-mail by clicking on his name, or by phone at (630) 243-3229. Parents, students and community members all are encouraged to report such activities, or to ask related questions. It is in the interest of prevention that this service is provided.

Homecoming is a wonderful evening for everyone who attends. We appreciate the many efforts made in helping us maintain its success and to provide a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for our students.
