What started as a modest fundraising effort by three Lemont High School students – juniors Hope Conway, Olivia Matthews and Jenna Molaro – ultimately resulted in hundreds of Lemont students actively engaged in a humanitarian effort and tens of thousands of meals being shipped to a country across the world devastated by an earthquake. Their yearlong “Food Fight” fundraiser culminated with more than 65,000 meals being sent to Nepal through the non-profit organization Impact Lives. Read More

BORED IN LEMONT ON YOUR SATURDAYS? YOUR AWARD-WINNING BAND IS HOSTING ITS FIRST-EVER “PRACTICE-A-THON 2015” FROM 11 A.M.-4 P.M. THIS SATURDAY, AUGUST 29 IN THE STADIUM.

THIS EVENT WILL SERVE AS A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY FOR THE COMMUNITY TO GET A BEHIND-THE-SCENES LOOK AT THE LEMONT BAND IN ACTION.

SEE WHAT IT TAKES TO GET READY FOR THOSE PRESSURE-PACKED COMPETITIONS. FROM DISCOVERING WHAT IT TAKES TO LEARN THE SHOW MUSIC TO FIGURING OUT HOW TO STAND IN THE RIGHT PLACE EVERY TIME, “PRACTICE-A-THON” WILL SHED LIGHT ON WHAT MAKES LEMONT’S MARCHING BAND ONE OF THE MOST SUCCESSFUL IN THE CHICAGOLAND AREA.

YOU CAN ENJOY PIZZA, ICE CREAM, AND OTHER TASTY TREATS FROM LEMONT BUSINESSES AND RESTAURANTS WHILE WATCHING THE BAND PRACTICE AND PERFORM A PART OF THE YEAR’S SHOW.
