Members of the Class of 2015 can celebrate their upcoming graduation - and the school's 125th Anniversary - by purchasing the Class of 2015's Lemont High School Alumni t-shirt! Lemont High School’s Alumni Hall of Fame officially has its first inductees after three graduates – Joe Forzley ‘45, Patricia (Dalman) Knight ‘64 and Al Meyer ‘67 – were recognized at the school’s annual Jazz Band Dinner Dance at The Willowbrook Ballroom on March 7. The launch of the Alumni Hall of Fame corresponds with Lemont High School’s 125th Anniversary, which is being celebrated in 2015. Read More
Lemont High School’s Student Services Department will host a special presentation - “Conquering College Costs” - on Monday, March 30, at 7 p.m. in the school’s Performing Arts Center. The program, which will feature Chicago-area high school guidance counselor Frank Palmasani, will provide parents and guardians of both grade school and high school students with an overview of financial aid and the college application process. For the second straight year, Lemont High School’s Technology Student Association has advanced a school-record three students to the state’s top drafting contest. At the Illinois Drafting Educators Association (IDEA) Regional Drafting Competition on March 6, senior Jasmine Hornik and junior Matt Lassak took the top two spots, respectively, in the Architectural Board division, while sophomore Adam Popper was second in the Introductory CAD category. All three will compete at the IDEA State Drafting Competition at Illinois State University on Saturday, April 11. This marks the seventh time in eight years that at least one Lemont student has advanced to the IDEA State Drafting Competition. Read More
