Lemont High School will honor the work of Lemont’s police, fire and rescue units when it hosts “Hometown Heroes” night in conjunction with the school’s football home opener on August 27. This annual event, which is in its seventh year, is put on by Mission Possible, a student-led organization whose primary goal is to make Lemont High School a better place. This year’s Hometown Heroes celebration will include a special ceremony in honor of Chris Wheatley ‘97, a Lemont grad and Chicago firefighter who lost his life battling a fire. Read More

Lemont High School Class of 2007 graduate Tom Lynn, who recently completed his sophomore year on the Saint Leo University men’s golf squad, has been selected to the Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar team, A total of 200 student-athletes earned the honor from the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), including just 55 from NCAA Division II.
