Four Lemont High School students were honored with November “Student of the Month” accolades at the district’s Board of Education meeting on November 17. Lemont High School’s girls’ swimming program will be represented in state finals competition for the second straight season, but it will be a fresh face representing the Indians. Freshman Alex Knutte met the IHSA’s qualifying standards in both the 100 and 200 freestyle events at the IHSA Metea Valley Sectional to earn a trip to the 2014 IHSA Girls’ Swimming State Finals, which will be contested on November 21-22 at Evanston Township High School. For the fifth time in eight years, Lemont High School's football program will play for a berth in the state championship game. First-year head coach Bret Kooi's undefeated Indians, who advanced thanks to their exciting 19-13 win at Richards in the quarterfinal round, will travel to Peoria Stadium to take on Peoria Notre Dame in an IHSA Class 6A Semifinal contest at 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 22. The winner will advance to the IHSA Class 6A State Championship on Saturday, November 29. Lemont is seeking the third state finals appearance in the program's history. Read More

Lemont High School’s girls’ cross country just missed the program’s first-ever state trophy, but its first state finals appearance in three years still resulted in the best finish in program history. Head coach Tim Plotke’s Indians placed fourth at the 2014 IHSA Class 2A Girls’ Cross Country State Finals, which were contested on November 8 at Detweiller Park in Peoria. That showing easily bested the program’s previous best state finals finishes, and also included an all-state effort from junior Taylor Campos. Read More

Lemont High School’s girls’ cross country team is headed back to state finals team competition for the first time since 2011, and will do so with the program’s best chance yet for a state trophy. Ranked among the state’s top teams all season, head coach Tim Plotke’s Indians won the IHSA Class 2A Wheaton Academy Sectional on November 1. They earned a berth to the 2014 IHSA Class 2A Girls’ Cross Country State Finals, which will be contested on Saturday, November 8, at Detweiller Park in Peoria. Lemont’s only previous sectional title in girls’ cross country came in 2008. Read More

The Illinois State Board of Education has provided to public school districts across the state their 2014 Illinois School Report Cards. Lemont High School District 210 administrators presented this information at the district’s Board of Education meeting on Monday, October 20, and the report card now is available on the school’s Web site.
