Mike and Joe is one of the nation’s top rock cover bands, and it returns to the Taste of Lemont after a terrific debut in 2017. Mike and Joe typically features an eclectic setlist, ranging from classic rock to today’s hits. The LHSEF is excited for Mike and Joe’s loyal fans to flock to the Taste of Lemont in 2018!

The Taste of Lemont is the LHSEF’s most important annual fundraiser, and it again will be open to all ages. Parents, students, younger siblings, community members .... all are invited! More than 3,000 attendees made the 2017 Taste of Lemont a record-setting event for the LHSEF, and the LHSEF expects 2018 to be even better!

As with previous years, the format will be typical of a “Taste of...” event, with food tickets purchased on site and redeemed with the vendors. Each restaurant will have multiple affordable options on its menu. Participating food and beverage vendors include 4 Penguins, Big Ed's Shed, Chicago Restaurant Concepts, Gelsosomo’s Pizzeria, Jimbo’s Pizza, Just Hummus, Kitaro, MaMa D’s, Muffins, Otto Brandt Wines, Pollyanna Brewing Company, Quarry Pub & Grill, Rosati’s Pizza, Sinfully Delicious, Tap House Grill and The Vault.

The Taste of Lemont will be a rain or shine event. In addition to outstanding food and beverages and live music from Mike and Joe, the Taste of Lemont will feature performances from the school’s Marching Band and A Cappella choir, local band Split Decision, and a “Split the Pot” fundraiser.

Individuals who do not wish to purchase tickets online may do so in person at the school’s Security Office during regular business hours, or by contacting LHSEF board member Janette Acton at either actonjanette@comcast.net or (630) 567-2640.

The LHSEF has awarded more than $400,000 in grants to aid Lemont High School’s students, faculty and staff since 2007. A primary reason it has been able to provide that level of support is the success of the “Food for Thought” series.

Proceeds from “Food for Thought” benefit the LHSEF, whose mission is to partner with the community to make lasting improvements to Lemont High School that will enhance the total educational experience for all of its students. The Foundation funds and supports programs and opportunities that aid students’ growth, both academically and as citizens of the Lemont community. The Foundation is a not-for-profit charitable organization. All gifts to the Foundation are tax-deductible to the extent provided by the law.
