Front Street Cantina to host special event for Lemont High School alumni
Lemont High School graduates of all ages are encouraged to join the Lemont High School Alumni Association for a special social event at Front Street Cantina in Lemont on Friday, June 15. The Alumni Association’s “Three Happy Hours” event will run from 7-10 p.m., and will provide Lemont alumni the chance to kick off the weekend by catching up with some old friends and enjoying food, drink and entertainment.
No RSVP is necessary to attend “Three Happy Hours,” and alumni are encouraged to bring some of their fellow Lemont graduates to this event.
Front Street Cantina will feature a $3 beer special and $3 well drinks for Lemont alums who are of legal drinking age (** please see note below). Also featured will be a $5 margarita special specifically geared towards Lemont grads - the “Alumnirita.” Chips and salsa will be provided, and alumni also can take advantage of ordering from Front Street Cantina’s extensive menu.
Entertainment at “Three Happy Hours” will be provided by Conor Matthews
, who recently finished his junior year at Lemont High School. Matthews is a Tate Music Group (TMG) recording artist whose debut album - “It’s the Change” - was released on May 1.
Front Street Cantina is located at 319 Front Street in Lemont.
The Lemont High School Alumni Association aims to foster a lifelong connection among alumni and to enhance the bond with their alma mater. It meets on the first Tuesday every month (excluding holidays) in the Board Room at Lemont High School, which is located at 800 Porter Street in Lemont. Meetings begin at 7 p.m.
This is the second “Three Happy Hours” event hosted by the Lemont High School Alumni Association. Its first was held at 3 Corners Grill & Tap last summer.
** - Some concerns have been expressed concerning underage individuals being present at this Lemont High School Alumni Association event. Front Street Cantina is a family-oriented restaurant that welcomes customers of all ages. Daily, it includes a mix of patrons who are of legal age to drink alcohol and those who are underage. Front Street Cantina will take the same precautions in preventing underage drinking at this event that it takes every day.
