As Lemont High School students enter the homestretch of the 2012-13 school year, learning remains our top priority. However, upcoming non-academic milestone events – including Prom and Graduation – will supply students with life-long memories. Prom activities and graduation parties generate a lot of fun, but unfortunately some students make poor choices during these festivities by consuming alcoholic beverages or partaking in drug use. Lemont High School sophomores, juniors encouraged to register for PSAT/NMSQT

Members of Lemont High School's Class of 2014 and Class of 2015 are encouraged to sign up for the 2012 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT), which will be held at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, October 17. The registration deadline is Wednesday, September 26.

Registration Form

Students can pick up a registration form from the Guidance Office, or download the form by clicking on the link above. The form should be completed and returned, along with the $25 registration fee (check or money order), to the Guidance Office by September 26. Student guide booklets for the PSAT may be obtained after the registration form and payment are submiited to the Guidance Office.

The PSAT/NMSQT is administered by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Students who perform well on the PSAT/NMSQT may become eligible for National Merit recognition, including Commended Scholar, Semifinalist and Finalist status. More than 1.5 million students across the country take the PSAT/NMSQT annually, and those among the top one percent of performers become eligible for National Merit Scholarships.
