What started as a modest fundraising effort by three Lemont High School students – juniors Hope Conway, Olivia Matthews and Jenna Molaro – ultimately resulted in hundreds of Lemont students actively engaged in a humanitarian effort and tens of thousands of meals being shipped to a country across the world devastated by an earthquake. Their yearlong “Food Fight” fundraiser culminated with more than 65,000 meals being sent to Nepal through the non-profit organization Impact Lives. Read More

After seeing a record number of attendees at last year’s first-ever family-friendly event, the LHSEF is following a similar script this year and planning another fun evening under the stars. “Food for Thought: Taste of Lemont” will be held from 5-11 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, at the Metra Lot in downtown Lemont. As Lemont High School celebrates its 125th Anniversary in 2015, the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame will welcome another group of inductees. The Athletic Hall of Fame will enshrine its 11th induction class at a ceremony on Sunday, September 20, at Cog Hill Golf Club in Lemont, Ill.
