Beginning in January, Lemont High School will offer SAT 1600, an eight-week test preparation program designed to familiarize students with the SAT. Registration has begun for SAT 1600, which is open to all Lemont High School juniors, as well as juniors from other area schools. Read More

Making her state finals debut, Lemont High School sophomore Sylvia Kobylak competed in both the 100 breaststroke and 100 butterfly at the 2016 IHSA Girls’ Swimming State Finals, which were contested on November 18-19 at Evanston Township High School. Kobylak finished 25th in the 100 breaststroke and 33rd in the 100 butterfly. Read More
Lemont High School welcomed its sixth class of Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society inductees with a brief ceremony in the school’s Board Room on November 2. A total of 53 students were honored for their excellence in mathematics. Read More
Senior Sarah Hagen is one of the top students in Lemont High School’s Class of 2017. She has excelled academically, maintaining a perfect grade point average while tackling some of the most rigorous courses that Lemont High School offers, and is widely involved in the school’s extra-curricular program. Hagen joined some select company earlier this year when she became just the third student in school history to score a 36 on the ACT exam. Read More
Lemont High School’s girls’ swimming program will be represented in state finals competition for the third time in four seasons. Sophomore Sylvia Kobylak used personal best times to eclipse the IHSA’s qualifying standards in both the 100 breaststroke and 100 butterfly events at the IHSA Metea Valley Sectional to earn a trip to the 2016 IHSA Girls’ Swimming State Finals, which will be contested on November 18-19 at Evanston Township High School. Five Lemont High School seniors have made commitments to play college baseball beginning in Spring 2018. Righthanded pitcher Ryan Sublette and infielder/outfielder KC Simonich signed National Letters of Intent with Texas Tech University; infielder Dominic Connolly signed a National Letter of Intent with Maryville (Mo.) University; and catcher Rami Alul and outfielder Christian Krakar committed to play at Waubonsee Community College and College of DuPage, respectively. Read More
