With the support of generous donors, Lemont High School is partnering with Young Hearts for Life and Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital to offer all Lemont High School students free cardiac screenings. The Young Hearts for Life (YH4L) Cardiac Screening program will visit Lemont High School on Thursday, September 21. All students whose parents/guardians authorize them to be tested will be screened during the school day. Read More
Senior Anna Ford has been one of the top students in Lemont High School’s Class of 2018 since she first walked through its doors four years ago as an eighth grader. She has maintained a perfect grade point average while taking on some of the most rigorous courses that Lemont High School offers, and participates in a multitude of extra-curricular activities. Ford joined select company recently when she became just the fourth student in school history to score a 36 on the ACT exam. Read More
Parents and guardians of Lemont High School students will spend some time walking in their children’s footsteps when the school hosts its annual “Learning and Teaching Night” on Wednesday, August 23. The event, which will take place from 6:45-9 p.m., gives parents the opportunity to learn more about the courses their students will be taking during the 2017-18 school year. Read More
Lemont High School mathematics teacher Julie Johnson has been selected as a 2017 Science Communication Fellow and will sail aboard Exploration Vessel (E/V) Nautilus during its 2017 expedition. Johnson will join the Corps of Exploration aboard E/V Nautilus from July 16-29 as it explores the Channel Islands off the coast of California. Read More
From 5-11 p.m. on Saturday, September 9, the LHSEF will host “Food for Thought: Taste of Lemont” near the Metra Lot in downtown Lemont. This fun, family-friendly event - made possible in part by Visionary Sponsor Citgo - will feature some of the best food and beverages that the Lemont community can offer, as well a concert from one of Chicagoland’s top bands - Mike and Joe! Lemont High School celebrated the accomplishments of the Class of 2017 at its annual Senior Honors Night on Monday, May 22, in the school’s Performing Arts Center. Scholarships and academic honors were presented to some of the top students in the graduating class. Read More
