Lemont High School will hold a Graduation ceremony for its Class of 2017 on Friday, May 26, at 7:30 p.m. in the school's Gymnasium. Attendance for this event is limited to those individuals who have a ticket for entry. The event will be streamed live on High School Cube. Read More
Four Lemont High School students were honored with May “Student of the Month” accolades at the district’s Board of Education meeting on May 15. Included among the honorees were senior Kyla Owens (Student Services), junior David Miller (Special Education), sophomore Victoria Garcia (Driver Education) and freshman Meredith Mathias (Health). Lemont High School juniors Martynas Juskelis and Alexander Mucha each earned top honors within their respective officer divisions at the 2017 Chicagoland Junior Achievement competition, which recently was held at Robert Morris University’s downtown Chicago campus. Juskelis was cited as the President Officer of the Year, while Mucha brought home Supply Chain Officer of the Year accolades. Read More
For the first time since 2015, Lemont High School will be represented in state finals competition in girls’ track and field. The school’s 4 x 400 meter relay squad placed fourth at the IHSA Downers Grove South Sectional on May 11, and its time was good enough to earn a berth to the 2017 IHSA Class 3A Girls’ Track and Field State Finals, which will be contested on Friday, May 19, and Saturday, May 20, at O’Brien Stadium on the campus of Eastern Illinois University in Charleston. The Lemont High School District 210 Board of Education recently approved a proposal from school administrators to add boys’ lacrosse and girls’ badminton for the 2017-18 school year. With the addition of these two programs in Spring 2018, Lemont High School will field 26 athletic teams – 13 for boys and 13 for girls. Read More
Lemont High School has announced its “Our Books, Our School” selections for the 2017-18 school year. Over the summer, students will have their choice of three young adult novels selected by a committee of the school’s faculty, staff and administration. In addition to choosing from the “Our Books, Our School” list, students in Honors and Advanced Placement level English courses and AP Government will be responsible for additional summer reading assignments.
