Lemont High School’s Technology Student Association has advanced students in three events to the state’s top drafting contest. At the Illinois Design Educators Association (IDEA) Regional at Joliet Junior College on March 2, seniors Zach Counsil and Jake Wilk each earned individual medals, while seniors Aaron Bromberek and Kendrick Tran and junior Alex Fugiel teamed for a medal of their own. All will compete at the IDEA State Competition at Illinois State University on Saturday, April 14. At least one Lemont student has advanced to state competition in 10 of the last 11 years. Read More

At its February 20 meeting, the Lemont High School District 210 Board of Education received an update on how the Social Studies Department is benefitting from the school’s new 1:1 teaching and learning program. This was the fourth in a series of presentations to the Board of Education by Lemont High School’s academic departments during the 2017-18 school year. Read More

Lemont High School’s Mathletes squad earned a berth to the 2018 Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics (ICTM) State Finals by winning the Joliet area regional competition on February 24 at Joliet Junior College. Lemont, which won its fifth regional title in six years, will compete in the ICTM Division 3AA State Finals on Saturday, May 5, on the campus of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Lemont High School senior swimmer Owen Ganzer made school history in his state finals debut. Ganzer posted the school’s best boys’ swimming state finals finish when he placed 24th in the 100 freestyle at the 2018 IHSA Boys’ Swimming State Finals, which were contested on February 23-24 at Evanston Township High School. Lemont High School senior swimmer Owen Ganzer has made school history, becoming just the second Lemont student-athlete to advance to boys’ swimming state finals competition. Ganzer won both the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle events at the IHSA Sandburg Sectional on February 17 to earn a trip to the 2018 IHSA Boys’ Swimming State Finals, which will be contested at Evanston Township High School on February 23-24. Ganzer is the first Lemont boys’ swimmer to qualify to compete in multiple state finals events in one season, and is the first Lemont swimmer to earn a state finals berth since 2007. Read More
