Lemont High School has announced its revised end-of-year schedule, as well as its schedule for second-semester Final Exams. The three days missed due to inclement weather have pushed the end of the school year to Friday, May 24. Read More
Lemont High School will pilot an "eLearning Day" on Monday, April 29. This day also still will serve as a Teacher Institute Day for the school's faculty and staff. April 29 originally was scheduled as a non-attendance day for students. During the eLearning Day pilot, students will not attend classes on campus but instead will be engaged in timely and meaningful “virtual” learning. Faculty and staff still will participate in Institute Day activities, and students will engage in eLearning activities designed by their teachers. Read More
Lemont High School Career & Technical Education Department Chair Scott Duensing was selected to participate in the Illinois Career & Technical Education Innovative Curriculum Resources Project “2019 Exemplary Teacher Program.” The goal of the program is to foster the development of teacher-leaders who can effectively share their expertise with their peers. Three Lemont High School seniors have made commitments to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level. Included among the student-athletes are cross country runner Daina Maleiska (Purdue University-Northwest), basketball player Garan Polic (St. Ambrose University) and swimmer Ray Scribano (St. Norbert College). Four Lemont High School students were honored with March “Student of the Month” accolades at the district’s Board of Education meeting on March 11. Included among the honorees were senior David Lehenbauer (Business), junior Marin Schiffman (Science), sophomore John Krueger (Music) and freshman Gloria Wang (Mathematics). Read More
Lemont High School recently welcomed its first class of inductees into the school’s chapter of the Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society. Standout students from both the junior and senior classes - 42 students in all - were welcomed into Rho Kappa. Read More
