Making its fifth state finals appearance in nine seasons, head coach Rick Prangen’s girls’ soccer program posted a fourth-place finish at the 2017 IHSA Class 2A Girls’ Soccer State Finals, which were contested on June 2-3 at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium on the campus of North Central College in Naperville. Lemont lost in a shootout to Wheaton Academy in a semifinal game on June 2, and fell by a 3-1 score to Burlington Central in the third-place game on June 3. Read More

Since 2009, odd years on the calendar have corresponded with state finals berths for Lemont High School’s girls’ soccer program. Thanks to a late goal from a first-year player, 2017 is no different. Head coach Rick Prangen’s Indians edged host Hinsdale South, 1-0, at the IHSA Hinsdale South Super-Sectional on May 30 to earn a trip to the 2017 IHSA Class 2A Girls’ Soccer State Finals, which will be contested on June 2-3 at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium on the campus of North Central College in Naperville. Making his state finals debut, Lemont High School sophomore David Lehenbauer reached the final round of the high jump at the 2017 IHSA Class 3A Boys’ Track and Field State Finals, which were contested on May 26-27 at O’Brien Stadium on the campus of Eastern Illinois University in Charleston. He became just the second student-athlete in program history to advance to state finals competition in the high jump. Read More

For the first time in program history, head coach Jon DeGuzman’s boys’ tennis team advanced two singles players and two doubles teams to the state finals in the same season. All of the school’s representatives won at least one match at the 2017 IHSA Class A Boys’ Tennis State Finals, which were contested from May 25-27 and hosted by High School Districts 211, 214 and 220. Junior Arjun Reddigari reached the 3rd Consolation Round in singles play, while the tandem of seniors Faraz Longi and Peter Rogers did the same in doubles competition. Read More

Lemont High School held a Graduation ceremony for its Class of 2017 on Friday, May 27, in the school's Gymnasium, where 325 students were awarded their diplomas. Read More

Lemont High School’s 4 x 400 meter relay squad competed at the 2017 IHSA Class 3A Girls’ Track and Field State Finals, which were contested on May 19-20 at O’Brien Stadium on the campus of Eastern Illinois University in Charleston. It marked the first time in 15 seasons that Lemont had competed in a girls’ track and field state finals relay event. Read More

A mainstay in state finals competition, Lemont High School’s boys’ tennis program will be represented at the IHSA State Finals for the 12th straight season. However, for the first time in program history, head coach Jon DeGuzman’s team has advanced two singles players and two doubles teams to the state finals in the same season. The Indians captured the program’s second sectional title when it placed first at the IHSA Joliet Catholic Sectional. Lemont will compete at the 2017 IHSA Class A Boys’ Tennis State Finals, which will be contested from May 25-27 and hosted by High School Districts 211, 214 and 220. Read More
