Lemont High School’s Junior Achievement company has created two new products that are so anticipated that they sold out during the presale period!

Lemont’s Junior Achievement company – Lemont Publishing, Inc. – has prepared Lemont-themed twists on a couple of popular games: “Luno” is a local version of “Uno”, and “Lemont It” is a local version of the “Spot It” game. Lemont Publishing, Inc. solicited community submissions of Lemont landmark photos for the “Lemont It” cover and game cards.

“Luno” and “Lemont It” were made available at a discounted price for presale by students in the Junior Achievement program, and all units were sold within a three-week presale period. Lemont Publishing, Inc. appreciates the wide range of support it has received from the community for this project.

Tentatively, purchases may be picked up inside the main entrance at Lemont High School from 3-6 p.m. on Tuesday, December 17, and Wednesday, December 18. Delivery may be delayed due to supply chain issues. No items will be mailed.

Lemont’s Junior Achievement organization annually builds a business from scratch. A student-led board creates a product, sells stock in the company and markets the product, with a goal of reaping dividends for its shareholders.

This year’s Junior Achievement board includes seniors Milena Maksimovich (President) and Hailey Vasvery (Team Leader of Finance), and juniors Mykala Kunickis (Team Leader of Customer Service & Sales), Maggie Sinnett (Team Leader of Marketing) and Michael Tilly (Team Leader of Supply Chain).

Established in 1919, Junior Achievement is an educational nonprofit organization that brings financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship programs into classrooms from kindergarten through high school. Junior Achievement of Chicago is the largest of the organization’s offices in the United States. Its programs empower students to make a connection between what they learn in school and how it can be applied in the real world – enhancing the relevance of their classroom learning and increasing their understanding of the value of staying in school.
