Three Lemont student-athletes make college commitments

Three Lemont High School student-athletes have announced their commitments to compete collegiately beginning in Fall 2026. They include football players Ethan Katauskas (University of Wisconsin-Platteville) and Aiden Rudman (Saint Xavier University), and men’s volleyball player Aidan McIntyre (Trine University).

Ethan Katauskas – Career Highlights

  • Earned two varsity letters playing for head coach Willie Hayes
  • Two-year starter at center on the offensive line
  • Spokesman who made each line call and was in charge of communication up front
  • Helped Lemont to a composite 11-9 record, which included two South Suburban Conference-Blue Division titles and two IHSA Playoff appearances
  • Team captain who earned All-SSC Blue honors as a senior in 2025
  • Helped Lemont average 37.5 points per game in SSC Blue play, in addition to nearly 300 total yards per game overall
  • Lemont went 5-5, shared the SSC Blue title, and advanced to the IHSA Class 5A Playoffs
  • Made his varsity debut as a junior in 2024
  • Lemont averaged 36.7 points per game in SSC Blue play, and netted 275 total yards per game for the season
  • Lemont went 6-4, which included a spotless 6-0 record in the SSC Blue, and reached the IHSA Class 6A Playoffs

  • Will play for head coach Ryan Munz at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, an NCAA Division III institution located in Platteville, Wis., and a member of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Munz has led the Pioneers to two NCAA Playoff appearances in four seasons. His team went 9-3 and reached the second round of the playoffs in 2025.

Aidan McIntyre – Career Highlights

  • Two-time all-conference performer who has earned three varsity letters playing for head coach Chris Zogata
  • Middle blocker and outside hitter who has helped Lemont to a composite 45-47 record in three seasons, as well as two South Suburban Conference-Blue Division titles
  • Is expected to be a major contributor as a senior in 2026
  • Has posted a .236 hitting percentage while averaging 1.81 kills and 0.69 blocks per game over 190 career games
  • Enters his senior year with 344 kills, 131 blocks, 147 digs, and 57 service aces
  • Has ranked among the team’s top two in hitting percentage and serve percentage and the top three in blocks each year
  • Repeated as an All-SSC Blue performer as a junior in 2025
  • Posted career highs in kills (147), kills per game (2.77), digs (84) and digs per game (1.59)
  • Paced the squad with a .241 hitting percentage, as well as in kills and kills per game
  • Also ranked second on the team in serve percentage (92.7%) and was third in blocks (20)
  • Lemont went 11-19 and was third in the SSC Blue
  • Earned his first All-SSC honor as a sophomore in 2024
  • Led the team with career bests in hitting percentage (.242) and blocks (57)

  • Earned the JVA Athleader Award, which recognizes students for academic excellence, leadership, responsibility and selflessness

  • Will play for head coach William Dowdy at Trine University, an NCAA Division III institution located in Angola, Ind., and a volleyball only member of the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League. Dowdy is in the midst of his fifth season, and led the Thunder to an MCVL Tournament title and NCAA Tournament berth in 2024.

Aiden Rudman – Career Highlights

  • Earned two varsity letters playing for head coach Willie Hayes
  • Versatile running back who totaled 1,883 all-purpose yards and 24 touchdowns while not losing a fumble in 338 touches
  • Racked up 1,762 yards rushing on 304 carries (4.84 per carry) with 20 touchdowns, and added 34 catches for 412 yards (12.1 per reception) and four scores through the air
  • Helped Lemont to a composite 11-9 record, which included two South Suburban Conference-Blue Division titles and two IHSA Playoff appearances
  • Team captain who earned All-SSC Blue honors as a senior in 2025
  • Led the team with career highs of 185 carries, 891 yards rushing, 13 rushing scores, and 16 touchdowns overall
  • Also was second on the team with 23 catches, 291 yards receiving, and three scores through the air
  • Posted at least one touchdown in eight straight games and racked up four multi-score games
  • Cited among the Daily Southtown’s all-area team
  • Lemont went 5-5, shared the SSC Blue title, and advanced to the IHSA Class 5A Playoffs
  • Made his varsity debut as a junior in 2024, earning honorable mention all-conference accolades
  • Paced the team with 119 carries, 581 yards rushing, seven rushing scores, and eight touchdowns overall
  • Added 11 catches for 121 yards 
  • Lemont went 6-4, which included a spotless 6-0 record in the SSC Blue, and reached the IHSA Class 6A Playoffs
  • Earned two varsity letters in wrestling, and won an IHSA Regional title as a sophomore in 2024

  • Will play for head coach Mike Feminis at Saint Xavier University, an NAIA institution located in Chicago, Ill., and a member of the Mid-States Football Association. Feminis has racked up more than 225 wins in 28 years and is the second-winningest active NAIA coach. He has guided the Cougars to 14 MSFA titles, as well as the 2011 NAIA National Championship. Saint Xavier went 8-3 in 2025 and tied for the MSFA Midwest Division crown.
