“Bottle Rocket” concert at The Forge to benefit Lemont band programs

Fans of the Foo Fighters, supporters of the band programs at Lemont High School and Old Quarry Middle School, or folks simply looking for a fun night out are in luck! “Bottle Rocket” - a local band littered with talented musicians with ties to Lemont schools - will put on a show chock full of Foo Fighters hits at The Forge: Lemont Quarries on Thursday, September 23. 

The concert will take place at The Mount, the safe and socially distanced outdoor amphitheater at The Forge: Lemont Quarries. General admission seating will open at 5:30 p.m., and Chicago-area band John Condron & The Old Gang Orchestra will take the stage at 6 p.m. Bottle Rocket will follow at 7 p.m.

Bottle Rocket features a “who’s who” of Lemont musical talent, including Old Quarry Middle School Band Director Frank Alongi, Lemont High School Band Director Matt Doherty ‘02, Lemont High School English teacher Phil Lazzari, Lemont High School grads Alex Bacon ‘18 and Justin Doebert ‘10, and Forge Co-Founder Jeremie Bacon.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the band programs at Lemont High School and Old Quarry Middle School.

The concert is being hosted by The Forge Charitable Adventures (TFCA), whose mission is to provide access to outdoor education and recreation opportunities to people of all ages, abilities, and socioeconomic circumstances, and to restore, protect and reinvigorate natural ecosystems that have been degraded by overuse or under investment.
