Lemont High School District 210 referendum question is approved by voters

With canvassing of the November 8 election complete, the result of Lemont High School District 210’s referendum question was made official on Tuesday, November 29. With all votes in Cook County and DuPage County counted, District 210 voters approved the referendum question by a margin of 52.3 percent to 47.7 percent.

Successful passage of the referendum gives District 210 the opportunity to sustainably and responsibly address its facility needs, modernize its school infrastructure, and improve learning environments for all students.

While voters approved the measure that will allow the district to increase its debt service extension base to $5 million annually, the District 210 Board of Education has committed to not exercising its ability to do so until the district’s previously scheduled bond debt is retired.
