Superintendent Search

After a comprehensive search process that began in Spring 2024, the Lemont High School District 210 Board of Education has selected Dr. Matt Maxwell to serve as the district's next superintendent. He will assume his duties on July 1, 2025. Please click here to read more about Dr. Maxwell.

Dr. Maxwell will take the reins from Superintendent Dr. Mary Ticknor, who will retire on June 30, 2025, after leading District 210 for 13 years.

Phase B: July-August

New Superintendent Profile is developed and finalized and posted on the District 210 website
Final search timeline is established

Phase C: August-October

Superintendent position is posted - Apply here
Consultant recruits candidates
Consultant begins viewing and vetting candidates
Consultant conducts screener interviews

Phase D: October-November

Screener interviews occur
First round Board of Education interviews occur
Second round and final interviews occur

Phase E: November-December

Board of Education chooses the district's new superintendent
Board of Education makes reference calls
Board of Education and new superintendent negotiate contract

Phase F: December-January

New superintendent is officially hired at a Board of Education meeting

Community Survey and Focus Groups

The District 210 Board of Education gathered input from faculty and staff, parents/guardians, and the Lemont High School community via open forums and a community survey.

Focus groups were held on May 15 and May 22, while the survey was available from May 28-June 14. All responses from the survey were anonymous, confidential, and delivered directly to the education consultant.
