Limited parking is available for Lemont High School students in the following areas: Parking Garage, North Lot, PAC Lot, South Lot (Upper), and West Lot. A description of the locations of these lots may be found by clicking on the 'Directions to Campus' link.

All students who choose the "General" option, may park in the student sections of all lots except for the Parking Garage on a first come, first served basis each day. Students who choose the Parking Garage option only may park in the student sections of the Parking Garage. If the school has more applicants for the Parking Garage than there are available spots, permits will be awarded on a first come, first served basis.

Students who are approved for permits will be eligible to pick up their parking permits prior to the start of the school year. Only those personal vehicles with valid Lemont High School parking permits are allowed to park in the school's lots beginning on the first day of school.

Students must always park in the designated “Student” sections within the available lots.

Parking is a privilege, and with that privilege comes responsibility. Students who are interested in receiving a parking permit must read the student parking regulations.

In order to apply for a parking permit, a student must submit a completed application and a copy of his/her driver's license and a valid insurance card. A non-refundable $100 permit fee will be due once the student's permit application is approved.

To be eligible for a parking permit, a student must have been in attendance for 90 percent or more of the days in the school year preceding the date of the application, and earned enough credits to qualify as a junior (13.0 credits) or senior (19.5 credits), depending on his/her year in school. A sophomore or junior who finished the preceding school year with an attendance rate below 90 percent, or did not reach the required credits to become a junior or senior, will not be eligible for a parking permit.

All of a student’s fees – including academic and extracurricular fees, both from the current year and previous years – must be paid in full for the student to receive a parking permit. A student’s parking privileges may be suspended during the year if he/she has an unpaid fee balance.

Parking permits will not be held for students who have not yet obtained a driver’s license. Students may apply for a permit as soon as they are licensed, even if it is after the application deadline. Permit applications submitted will be processed in the order they are received.

The school's Parking Committee - which consists of students, parents/guardians, school administrators and a Lemont Police Department representative - meets annually to discuss issues related to student parking.

Parents/guardians or students who have questions about submitting an application for a parking permit should contact Dean's Secretary Kathie Vabalaitis at (630) 243-3219, or via email by clicking on her name.
