Kevin Murphy
Freshman
Health
Kevin Murphy was chosen as the Freshman Student of the Month by the Health Department. A high honor roll student, Kevin lists English I Honors, Accelerated Algebra II Honors and Cultural Geography as his favorite courses. Described as a hard-working student who values education, he is a leader who motivates others to succeed. He is respectful to everyone, including his classmates and his instructors. In just his first year on campus, Kevin already has become involved in many activities, including football, boys’ track and field and the Student Council. This summer, he will serve as a junior counselor at the Illinois Association of Junior Highs Student Council summer leadership camp. In the future, he hopes to become a doctor or be involved in international studies. He enjoys running and spending time with his family and friends.
Morgan Micetich
Sophomore
Driver Education
The Driver Education Department selected Morgan Micetich as the Sophomore Student of the Month. Morgan notes that she most enjoys Accelerated Geometry Honors, Driver Education and Spanish II. Her instructors note that she represents what they want to see from students in Driver Education courses; she works hard, understands the serious responsibility of driving, and demonstrates a high level of maturity. She enjoys the volunteer work she does at the Hinsdale Humane Society, is a high honor roll student, and has been nominated to participate in the National Youth Leadership Forum. As she moves on in her high school career, Morgan plans to continue to do well academically and hopes to be accepted into the college of her choice. In her spare time, Morgan enjoys painting.
Joey Bruno
Junior
Special Education
Joey Bruno was picked as the Junior Student of the Month by the Special Education Department. A unanimous choice by the department for this honor, Joey frequently assists his fellow students and often seeks ways to lend a hand to faculty and staff. A high honor roll performer, Joey likes all of his classes but says that his favorite course is English. He consistently is prepared for class, completes his assignments on time, and seeks help when necessary. Joey is actively involved in the school’s recycling program and Breakfast Buddies, and is a solid role model for other students. He plans to attend College of DuPage to study paleontology, and hopes someday to work at the Field Museum. Joey enjoys playing video games and playing guitar, and is a black belt in tae kwon do.
Brandon Jarboe
Senior
Guidance
The Guidance Department tabbed Brandon Jarboe as the Senior Student of the Month. An honor roll student, Brandon’s favorite courses include Pre-Calculus and American Problems, and he also enjoys his time working with the Guidance Department. A hard worker who shows a high level of maturity, he employs excellent communication skills and a great sense of humor. A member of the football program his first two years, Brandon was a member of the boys’ bowling squad for four seasons as well. At his job at TCF Bank, he earned ‘Employee of the Month’ honors twice in his first eight months on the job. Brandon plans on finishing the year strong and again earning honor roll accolades. He is considering serving in the military after graduation. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with his friends and his twin brother, Jason.
