Gianna Francis
Freshman
Family & Consumer Sciences

Gianna Francis was tabbed as the Freshman Student of the Month by the Family & Consumer Sciences Department. Gianna lists Family & Consumer Sciences Survey and Integrated Science as her most enjoyable classes. Her teachers note she already has demonstrated excellent leadership, manages her time well, and is respectful to teachers and classmates. A member of the Art Club, Gianna plans on playing soccer in the spring. She also is involved with cultural Croatian dancing and plays travel lacrosse. She hopes to earn straight As throughout high school, earn a college scholarship, and travel to Europe. In her free time, Gianna serves as a youth soccer referee, walks dogs and babysits, and enjoys drawing, spending time with family and friends, and being around animals.

Nour Longi
Sophomore
World Languages

The World Languages Department cited Nour Longi as the Sophomore Student of the Month. A high honor roll student, Nour cites French II and English II Honors as her favorite classes. She is involved in a variety of extra-curricular activities, including the Speech Team, Model UN and Interact. She also takes classes at the Art Institute of Chicago in the summer. Nour is described as a responsible, motivated and confident student who comes to school every day with an excitement for learning and a dedication to go above and beyond at school. She sets a positive example for her peers, and her work ethic and focus are an inspiration to her classmates. Nour plans on attending college and ultimately hopes to become a journalist or a human rights lawyer. She enjoys reading, listening to music and painting in her spare time.

Hanna Dworkin
Junior
Art

Hanna Dworkin was selected as the Junior Student of the Month by the Art Department. Hanna is a high honor roll performer whose current favorite classes include AP Calculus BC and Art Portfolio Development. She is described as among the most gifted and skilled artists the school has produced. Hanna has won several art awards, seen her work featured in multiple art shows, and has multiple pieces featured on campus She has served as the class president for three years and as a member of both Link Crew and the student advisory board, is a Mu Alpha Theta inductee, and is involved in Model UN and the Leo Club. She plans on majoring in political science or law in college and hopes to pursue a career in politics. In her free time, Hanna sells custom portraits. She also has accompanied her church on mission trips.

Kiley Yeoman
Senior
Physical Education

The Physical Education Department picked Kiley Yeoman as the Senior Student of the Month. Kiley says she most enjoys Physical Education, Marching Band and English IV, and also previously enjoyed her Creative Writing course. Her teachers applaud her for continually going above and beyond what is asked of her. In Physical Education class, Kiley gives her maximum effort, regardless of that day’s activity. She brings a positive approach and shares that attitude with her peers. She also makes it a point to assist her instructors with whatever is needed that day. Kiley is a member of the Color Guard, serves on the yearbook staff, and has served as a Link Crew leader. She also has had work published in the school’s creative writing magazine, “The Spark.” She may seek a degree in business in college and hopes to pursue a career in real estate. Kiley enjoys writing in her spare time, and also babysits and works at Jewel.
