Alexandra Fritsch
Freshman
Art
The Art Department cited Alexandra Fritsch as the Freshman Student of the Month. A high honor roll student, Alexandra enjoys Integrated Math I Honors, Biology Honors, and both Introduction to Drawing & Painting and Introduction to Digital Art. Described as a talented artist who offers thoughtful feedback during class critiques, she challenges herself to create intricate digital illustrations, and reworks sketches and projects until she is satisfied. A member of the Art Club who recently was awarded Artist of the Month honors, Alexandra twice has been the recipient of the President’s Award during her academic career. She hopes to join the National Art Honor Society next year, and plans on taking many Advanced Placement classes. Alexandra enjoys playing games, baking, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

Patrick Tomaszewski
Sophomore
Physical Education
Patrick Tomaszewski was selected as the Sophomore Student of the Month by the Physical Education Department. Patrick is a high honor roll performer whose favorite academic interests include mathematics and art. This semester, those classes include Integrated Math II and Drawing & Painting II. His teachers describe him as a hard working student who strives always to do his best. He understands the importance of his daily courses and always is prepared. He is a mature, positive and respectful young man who is a joy to be around. Patrick is a member of both the boys’ soccer and boys’ track and field teams, and has earned his black belt in taekwondo. In the future, he hopes to be an entrepreneur or professional soccer player. He has learned to drive an ATV, and enjoys video games, ice skating, and skateboarding.

Family & Consumer Sciences
The Family & Consumer Sciences Department tabbed Emily Hunt as the Junior Student of the Month. Emily is a high honor roll student whose favorite classes include Calculus and the Junior P.E. Leadership Program. A shining light in the Family & Consumer Sciences Department during her career, she has taken most of the classes the department offers and exemplifies positivity and kindness. She is dedicated, works hard, and is a wonderful asset to her classes. Emily is a member of the Student Council and a junior class officer, and has earned induction to Mu Alpha Theta and the National Honor Society. An all-star cheerleader, she has her sights set on cheering in college. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her friends and family, baking, and visiting her family’s lake house.

Kelly Kearns was named as the Senior Student of the Month by the World Languages Department. A high honor roll student, Kelly has most enjoyed classes in art and mathematics. She not only has earned induction to Mu Alpha Theta and the National Honor Society, but she also is a member of the Health Occupations Student Association, Student Council, Link Crew, and the National Charity League. Kelly is described as hard working, focused, motivated, and willing to do what it takes to achieve her goals. She does a tremendous job of staying present in class, regardless of distractions, and embodies what it takes to be successful learning a second language. Undecided on what she plans to do in the future, Kelly works part-time at the Lemont Park District.
