Freshman
Health
The Health Department cited William Sagotz as the Freshman Student of the Month. William is a high honor roll student whose favorite classes range from AP Human Geography to Health, and whose academic interests include computer science, music production, and politics. Described as an excellent student who is willing to help his peers, he takes responsibility for his work and is an asset in class. William is an FBLA state medalist and a member of the Principal’s Student Advisory group, Leo Club, and Speech Team. He has earned certificates in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. In the future, he hopes to pursue a career that combines his interests and gives him an opportunity to help people. In his free time, William enjoys making music, DJing, coding, playing video games, watching sports, and chilling with friends.
Krista Loula
Sophomore
Driver Education
Krista Loula was selected as the Sophomore Student of the Month by the Driver Eduction Department. Krista’s academic interests include writing and acting. She is described as a reliable student with a strong work ethic who strives for excellence in all of her endeavors and an active class participant. Krista competes in archery and has a wealth of other interests, including home economics, rockhounding, feather collecting, wax sculpting, leathercrafting, and wildlife. She also has acted in several productions and wrote and directed a children’s drama production. Her future goals include attending college and becoming a published author. In her spare time, Krista enjoys volunteering, all types of creative activities, spending time outdoors, and learning interesting and practical things.

Madeline Galassi
Junior
Special Education
The Special Education Department tabbed Madeline Galassi as the Junior Student of the Month. Madeline is a high honor roll student who lists Consumer Education as her current favorite class. Described as kind, polite, respectful, caring, and helpful, she is well liked both by peers and teachers and is a positive addition to all of her classes. Madeline is engaged in her courses and her consistent effort and perseverance have led to her successfully transitioning to higher courses. She advocates for herself and seeks clarification when needed. Madeline also is a three-year member of the girls’ track and field team who has established new personal bests in multiple events this spring. In the future, she hopes to become a radiology technician. Madeline works part-time at Matt’s Barbecue in her free time.
Emma Lagan
Senior
Student ServicesEmma Lagan was named the Senior Student of the Month by the Student Services Department. A high honor roll performer, Emma most enjoys Advanced Accounting Honors and Anatomy & Physiology Honors. She consistently demonstrates compassion, leadership, and a willingness to support others during difficult times, and her kindness and patience with special education students has helped foster an inclusive school environment. Emma has been a member of the cheerleading program, was part of the inaugural Golden Cheer & Dance team, and has participated in girls’ golf, girls’ bowling and softball this year. She’s also a National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta inductee. Emma will attend Valparaiso University and pursue a five-year physician’s assistant program. She works as a pharmacy technician at Jewel and enjoys spending time with her cousins and volunteering at Misericordia.
