Nadia Renn was selected as the Freshman Student of the Month by the Mathematics Department. A high honor roll student, Nadia most enjoys Integrated Math II Honors, Biology Honors, and Family & Consumer Sciences Survey. Her teachers note that she consistently shows the traits of a great student – she’s on time, works well with classmates, and helps others when they need it. Nadia takes initiative and is accountable for her learning. Selected for the varsity dance team as a freshman, she helped the team to a conference championship. Outside of school, she is a member of the Elevation Dance Company. Nadia hopes to finish her high school career as a four-year varsity athlete and someday hopes to pursue a career in the medical field. She enjoys dancing, babysitting, and hanging out with friends.

Hunter Kinst

Music
The Music Department tabbed Hunter Kinst as the Sophomore Student of the Month. Hunter is a high honor roll performer whose favorite classes are his four band courses. He auditioned into the Honors Symphonic Band as a first chair clarinetist this year, and is learning a secondary instrument as a trombone player for the Concert Band and Jazz Band. Hunter is a member of the Winter Guard, was selected for the South Suburban Conference band festival, and has earned induction to the Tri-M Music Honor Society. He also is part of both the Baking Club and Science Club, as well as the Performance in the Round cast on the Speech Team. Hunter hopes to become a better musician and student, and plans to major in music education in college. He likes listening to music, volunteering, and spending time with friends.
Grace Murray

Grace Murray was named as the Junior Student of the Month by the Science Department. A high honor roll student, Grace most enjoys AP Chemistry, Biotechnology, and Anatomy & Physiology Honors. Her teachers applaud her for consistently demonstrating a deep understanding of complex concepts and approaching each task with dedication and enthusiasm. Her passion for learning shines through in everything she does, and she is supportive of her peers. Grace serves as captain of the girls’ tennis team, is a member of both the Leo Club and Health Occupations Student Association, and has earned induction to four honor societies. She plans to attend medical school and hopes to become a doctor. Grace works part-time and enjoys running, reading, painting, and hanging out with family and friends.

Olivia Bzowski

Business

The Business Department cited Olivia Bzowski as the Senior Student of the Month. Olivia is a high honor roll student whose favorite class is AP Cyber Networking. She is described as a cornerstone of that inaugural pilot program, and has demonstrated a rare combination of technical mastery and consistent leadership across the many Business Education courses she has taken during her career. Olivia also is enrolled in the honors level Cisco Networking course at the Wilco Area Career Center. She is described as a dedicated peer mentor who leads with kindness, ensuring the success of the entire classroom. A thrower on the girls’ track and field team, Olivia has earned induction to the National Honor Society. She plans on majoring in cybersecurity at DePaul University, where she intends on earning multiple certifications. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies - specifically “Minions” and “Garfield.”
