Athletic Hall of Fame: Geri Sikkema

Pioneer for girls' sports at Lemont High School... served as the girls' sports coordinator, then as an assistant athletic director for nearly 20 years... amassed more than 200 wins as the girls' volleyball coach during her 15-year tenure... also headed up the girls' track and field squad for 10 years, and had stints coaching girls' bowling (seven years), girls' soccer (five years), gymnastics (five years) and girls' basketball (two years)... led the Girls' Athletic Association for 12 years... inducted into the Illinois Girls Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 1996... served as a district representative for the Illinois Athletic Directors Association... received the "Pride in Excellence" award from Lemont High School in 1996.
