A catalyst for Lemont High School’s softball program as it won back-to-back state trophies in 1988 and 1989… established a school record (since broken) by posting a 0.37 ERA in 1988… tossed 16 shutouts as the team went 29-7 and finished as the IHSA Class A State Runner-Up… set an IHSA single-season record (since broken) with 31 wins as a senior in 1989… set an IHSA record (since broken) with 11 straight shutouts, and also tossed nine no-hitters… team won the Northeast Conference title with a perfect 12-0 record, and finished 33-7 overall and placed third in the 1989 IHSA Class A Tournament… set a school record (since broken) with 358 strikeouts as a senior… established school career records (since broken) with 78 wins, a 0.69 ERA, 759 strikeouts, 96 complete games, 38 shutouts and 15 no-hitters… all-conference and all-area selection… tabbed as an all-state pick by the Chicago Tribune… also played girls’ basketball and girls’ volleyball… Student Council Executive Board Member… four-year team captain while playing softball at Valparaiso University… tossed two no-hitters in her career at Valpo.
