Northeast Conference Football Player of the Year in 1970... basketball teams won 30 games in his two years on the varsity squad... helped basketball team to a 17-12 record and a District Championship in 1969-70... named the Northeast Conference Player of the Year in 1971... “Little All-State” nominee in 1971... voted as “Most Athletic” in the Senior Superlatives... also participated in baseball and track and field... member of the National Honor Society and Great Books Club... earned a full-ride scholarship to play basketball at Dakota State College (Madison, S.D.)... named Dakota State’s “Most Improved Player” in 1973... long-time Athletic Director at Hanson School in Alexandria, S.D.... served as head coach for the boys’ basketball, boys’ and girls’ cross country and boys’ and girls’ track and field squads.
