Lemont High School “Super Fan” for five decades... as a student, played football for four years, and basketball as a senior... the 1956 football squad tied a school record with seven wins and won the Northeast Conference... participated in the school’s athletic booster club in its infant stages... was present at a number of “milestone” wins for fellow Hall of Fame inductee Bill Bozue, including his 100th, 200th, 250th and 500th career victories... cheered Lemont’s girls’ basketball team to a third-place finish at the 1980 IHSA Class A Tournament... supported Hall of Fame coach Pam Murray’s softball team when it finished as the 1988 IHSA Class A Runner-Up... attended Lemont football’s IHSA Class 6A runner-up finishes in 2007 and 2008... counts Hall of Fame coach John Jones’ 1975 “Sweet 16” team among his favorite Lemont High School memories... active in the Lemont Little League for 40 years, including three stints as its treasurer... his son – Robert Nona, Jr. – is a 1992 Lemont High School graduate.
