Three-year starter on the offensive line for Lemont (2004-06) .. helped Lemont to three IHSA Playoff appearances and a composite 27-7 record ... two-time all-conference honoree... team captain, all-area and all-state honoree as a senior in 2006 ... helped Lemont to an 8-3 record, a South Suburban Conference-Blue Division title, and an IHSA Playoff appearance in 2006 .. helped Lemont to a 10-2 record, a Suburban Prairie Conference-East Division title, and the school’s first IHSA Quarterfinal appearance in 2005 ... helped Lemont to a 9-2 record and an IHSA Playoff appearance in 2004 ... played in the 2007 East-West All-American Game ... four-year starter at center for the University of Michigan (2008-11) ... won the 2011 Rimington Trophy, which is awarded to the nation’s top center ... consensus first-team All-America selection in 2011 ... cited as the Big Ten’s Offensive Lineman of the Year in 2011 ... served as a team captain as a senior in 2011 as Michigan went 11-2 and won the Sugar Bowl ... selected to the 2012 Senior Bowl ... two-time first-team All-Big Ten honoree (2010, 2011) ... helped Michigan to a Gator Bowl appearance as a junior in 2010 ... won Michigan’s 2008 Iron Wolverine Award in recognition of his superior conditioning ... became Lemont’s first-ever NFL Draft selection when he was taken by the San Diego Chargers in the 7th Round in 2012 ... played more than 400 snaps for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2014 ... also participated in track and field at Lemont.
